I've been dating Olivia for quite some time now.
I have a thing for: pizza, burgers, Pad Thai, burritos and beer...whenever I go to another city I always have to have these items so I can judge them against the ones I know from back home.
My undergrad degree is from the University of Illinois at Chicago. I spent 3.5 pretty enjoyable years living in Chicago. It's a fun city to explore. I sort of wimped out and went for a degree in Information and Decision Sciences which was in the business college. CS just seemed a little too much with the chemistry and physics. Looking back I should have at least considered CS. Taking business classes gave me kind of an interesting perspective as to why I most definitely do *not* want to work in the business world.
At the moment I'm working on an MS in Management Information Systems from the University of Illinois at Springfield part time...we'll see how long I stay interested.
I am a network analyst for the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences (Commonly called the College of ACES) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC).
Working at a university is pretty nice. The pay isn't as high as the corporate world, but I can wear jeans to work and its just a pleasant work environment. I get to play with some interesting technology, but being an educational instution we do not have unlimited funds. That introduces a bit of creativity I suppose.
So far this site has been created entirely with vim.
I am hosting it using Dreamhost. I spent quite a bit of time researching places where I could get a dedicated server, and looked into virtual server hosting, but then realized I really did not want to get into having to worry about server patches, and running my own mail server, and dealing with backups and DNS and whatever else that would come along.
