I'm an IT Professional at a major university in the Chicago area. I started working in IT as a college student in 2001, and have spent some time at a few different universities in a variety of different roles. I have experience supporting teaching, research and administration in roles including help desk, desktop support, instructional computing environments, and system administration.
My current role is focused on server infrastructure for a university central computing organization. Most of my time is focused on VMware, Linux and Windows server administration.
This blog is a place for me to post thoughts on a variety of topics, and to hopefully help a few people not have to reinvent the wheel.
